Find out what's making you sick and how to heal.
Anthony William is the medical medium.
Hello, I'm Anthony William and you're listening to the Medical Medium radio show,
where each week I talk about the most advanced healing information and secrets about health,
much of which is not found anywhere else and is decades ahead of what's out there now.
I've always said who has 10 or 20 or 30 years to wait for answers to their illnesses and conditions.
You know, you don't have 20 years to learn that it's Epstein-Barr that causes Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
You need to know that now.
And I brought that to the table and I brought that to the people.
And Spirit helped me do that, of course, because that's where the information comes from.
science actually is just stumbling across it now in fact you're going to see it in lots of literature
coming up uh in the next few years so that's that's something very important so exactly you
don't have to wait 10 years more for that or 15 years more or three more years when it starts
trinkling out and maybe maybe it'll become popular in the coming decades the point is is that we need
to have the information now we need to have it now and i've helped people in the past i've helped
people 30 years ago that didn't have to wait 30 years for an answer with something, for things to
finally turn around or change. You know, I remember in 19, and this isn't even as far back as I've
gone, I remember in 1997 helping out someone and they had the fibromyalgia, they had all the pain,
the suffering, diagnosed with Lyme, everything, no results, recovered them. They were 58 years old
at the time in 1997, we're almost 20 years later, we're at 78 years old, living perfectly,
healthy, vibrant, alive, because she got the answer she needed.
And I want to provide that to everybody in every way I can through this radio show, through
medicalmedium.com, through the Facebook, through the Instagram, through the books.
And that's what we want to do.
So there's no time to spare.
Let's get started now.
Today's show is about produce shopping tips.
How cool is that?
Produce shopping.
Fruits and vegetables.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are the cornerstone to healthy lifestyle and healing from illness.
But if you're new to healthy eating, it can be overwhelming to know what to buy, how to pick produce, when it's ripe, and more.
In this fun episode, I will share my top produce tips, and it'll be really helpful.
So if you just logged on, hang in there or you're, you know, listening to the show because we're going to have some good information today.
Feel free to kick back, fasten the seatbelt, relax, get a cup of tea.
Do that.
Get a cup of herbal tea, maybe some chamomile tea or some natto leaf tea or even peppermint tea.
Never underestimate the power of a peppermint tea.
You can put a little honey in there, raw honey, squeeze of lemon.
And it's really good for the soul, good for the health, good for the liver, good for the stomach, good for the digestion, good for the body.
And, you know, so if you have some peppermint tea or even spearmint tea, we can do that.
That'd be great.
Remember to go to my website, medicalmedium.com, where you can sign up for my free healing path.
the free healing path resource which i've dedicated hundreds of hours to creating so
you can have the foundational tools and information to start healing now i made sure to make it
completely free so everyone had access instantly you just download it it's there you go to my
website for instant access and that's that's what we need to do to get that um so yeah i want to
talk about something, my Los Angeles event coming up in the fall after the summer, go to medicalmedium.com
and check that out because these tickets are going to sell out quick. The Connecticut event coming up
in June was sold out a long time ago. It sold out in two weeks. So you want to try to get those
tickets if you can. One of the things at the events that I do is I do the live readings on stage.
So we randomly pick a whole bunch of people out of the crowd and we do the readings on stage.
But not only that, Spirit has gifted me and gifted all of us actually with light that comes from heaven,
heavenly light that Spirit sends down on everybody around, whether they have cancer,
whether they have just an illness, whether they're perfectly healthy and they need a boost emotionally.
Whatever it is, the light comes down and it can boost healing.
It can move people forward.
and I've been doing that my whole life, helping people with this.
Now I want to offer it to more people and more people
and do it at the events constantly.
Spirit promised me that light will always be there for us to use
and Spirit's committed in this and so am I,
so we want to make that happen.
So that's at the events.
It's really fun, really exciting.
So look into that, medicalmedium.com.
A little bit about me, if this is the first time
you've actually come across a show or you're logging in now. It all started at age four for
me. I heard a voice perfectly clear. I woke up one morning and heard a voice talking to me.
I actually went to the window thinking there was a radio playing outside or there were people
talking outside. And I looked out the window. There was nobody there. And I heard the voice
perfectly clear. That evening, sitting at my dinner table, sitting at the dinner table with
family in my chair, Spear told me to get out of my chair and walk up to my grandmother and
pronounce grandma had lung cancer. She has lung cancer. So, and she was, you know, taken into the
doctors a few weeks later out of curiosity because it was, it was so unique or so, um, odd actually
that a four-year-old would do that. And she had lung cancer. It all started there. I've dedicated
my life and I've helped tens of thousands of people recover and I've dedicated my life to
getting information from spirit to you so we don't have to sift through the misinformation that's out
there. It's not all bad out there. There's some great information out there. You know, someone
said to me the other day, well, hey, it sounds like you think all the information out there isn't
good. Actually, that's not it at all. I think there's a lot of incredible information. I think
there's amazing physicians out there. I think there's incredible doctors, incredible practitioners,
incredible healers. I think that there's a, the people are really intuitive out there. There's
all kinds of incredible stuff happening and great information. But unfortunately, there are also
trends and fads with information that's not correct that holds people back. And someone also
said to me, well, hey, well, how come you know all the answers? Well, you tell me, what about the
250 million people in America alone that have a symptom that can't be figured out. How about that?
So apparently we need the help and thank God for spirit. Thank goodness for spirit. Thank the
universe for spirit that I'm able to provide that information and dedicate my life to help people.
So today we're talking about that produce aisle. Is it familiar to you? Do you remember it? Are you
seeing it in your eyes and in your mind when you're walking down there and you're walking
through and you see fruits and vegetables and greens, leafy greens and, you know, blueberries
and everything else that you see there, things that we need to heal. And this is what we need
to heal, whether you're plant-based, whether you're vegetarian, whether you're paleo, whether
you're just a regular meat eater, whether you're just, you know, someone who's eating a standard
American diet and you're happy on that. We just, we actually still need these fruits and vegetables.
We need them in our body and in our bloodstream and in our organs.
We need them in our soul.
This is critical stuff.
This is serious.
You know, I talk about illnesses all the time and answers for illnesses and things about illnesses.
Well, the fruits and vegetables, that is a big deal to getting us to move forward.
My book, Life Changing Foods, that's coming out soon, which you might want to preorder it because I don't think it's going to be in stock, to be honest with.
The Medical Medium book, the first book here, Secrets book, that barely stayed in stock and people were just so upset.
And I don't think Life Changing Foods is going to be in stock too often.
So just get an order in when you can, you know, and so you can lock it down so you know you have one coming.
The Life Changing Foods book, I have over 50 fruits and vegetables with profound information from spirit as to what diseases, illness, conditions, symptoms these foods eradicate.
And it's that important, including the emotional effect that these foods do, what they clean up emotionally, including spiritual teachings from spirit.
Spiritual teachings about what food does what for spiritual teachings for us that we actually take in when we're eating the food.
and if that isn't enough there's a there's over 50 recipes in this book not to mention
not to mention chapters that are like a fertility chapter a what not to eat chapter a whole nother
what not to eat chapter an angel chapter and how the angels actually work with us through foods
information you can't find anywhere else because it's from spirit you can't find it in any other
angel book any other angel information this is from spirit and so that's even in there and um
also how to protect yourself that's the big one the book is about save yourself and the ones you
love with the hidden healing powers of fruits and vegetables i'm talking about this a little bit
because we're going into the aisle we're going into the produce aisle and it's important to
have you know have everything we're it's important to be armed we're heading in
we're going in, we're going to pick the right choices, and we're going to cover some tips
and figure things out. So as we're heading in there, you know, the first thing that I like to
do, I like to get avocados. Avocados are a big deal. I don't know if you like avocados. Do you
like avocados? You know, some people don't like them. I still run into people where they're like,
I don't like the texture. Someone will say, I don't like the texture. It's mushy.
it's so yeah um and but yet they might like oatmeal i'll be like wait a minute you like
oatmeal though and i'll be like yeah true i'll be like okay time to retry the avocado time to test
it out again all right regardless if it's you know the texture you don't like the texture too much
one thing about picking out avocados this is a tip don't pick them out soft whatever you do
unless it's all they got and you want to risk it and risk getting a few avocados that you're
probably going to throw out. You got to get them hard. I like getting them rock hard because you
can take them home. You could ripen them just right. You can wait until they soften just a
little and give just a little and cut them open. The knife should slide through pretty easy.
You don't want to pick them when they're soft because chances are they're bruised. Chances
are they're going to be not just bruised, but they're going to be like brown spots everywhere,
rancid possibly, because people squeeze them. You got all these people walking up squeezing the
avocados, you know, and just like this, like, I don't know, just like I do. Or I don't walk up and
be like, hey, wait a minute, I got to make sure this avocado is firm enough. And then if it's a
soft one, you end up squeezing it. So don't get the soft ones. A lot of times people tell me,
well, I got the worst avocados. Avocados were rancid, you know, or they tasted terrible and I
didn't like them. A lot of times that happens because someone is getting an avocado mushy
or soft or bruised. I mean, did that ever happen to you? So that's one of the tips. You want to
get them firm and hard. They can ripen quick. When they start ripening in the house, you put
them in the refrigerator. They'll last forever. They'll last a good couple of weeks. That's not
forever, but for a fruit, that's pretty good. They can last three weeks in a refrigerator. If
you put them in right at that perfect time when they're just firm enough, they squeeze in just
enough, you can refrigerate them. So that's a great way. These are great tips for avocado.
As far as eating avocados, you can do anything with them. I mean, you could use them as butter.
You can put them as butter on a potato. You can put an avocado in your salad. You can
make a dressing and blend it in your in your blender food processor with squeezed oranges
and make an amazing dressing you can do so much with avocado it's not even fun you can put them
in nori rolls um you can make guacamole classic guacamole uh you can eat it out of the shell
you can eat it out of the shell with a little namah shoyu or a little tamari or you can have
some fun and you could just eat them out of the shell with a little salt a little himalayan rock
salt a little pepper and you can just eat them out of the shell there's so much you can do with
avocados so don't be shy and make sure you pick some up that should always be in your your your
you know in your regime in your basket that should always be there for you if you're not doing
avocados and what are you doing because it's one of the staples you know planet earth i got to tell
you guys something. Planet Earth doesn't have a lot of food on it. It just doesn't have that much
food on it. When you really break it down, you think it would have, you know, hundreds and
thousands of different varieties of foods, thousands. You would think so. It technically
doesn't, meaning things that we can sustain ourselves with. I'm not talking about a jungle
weed. I'm not talking about a jungle berry that, you know, if you eat too many, you just, you know,
you just get sick in the stomach because it's too astringent. I'm not talking about, you know,
something like that. I'm talking about like food that we can actually thrive on, food we can
actually live on. There's not that many options. So if you're not even eating avocado, then what
are you eating? Okay. All right. Okay. Let's go to the next one. Papaya. Papaya. That's a big one.
you know get a papaya get the large papayas if you can maradol maradol papayas m-a-r-a-d-o-l
maradol papayas strawberry papayas too these are non-gmo's you get the maradol papayas strawberry
papayas you get these different papayas that are non-gmo these days on the the the produce boxes
they come in they usually say non-gmo on them no it's not like 10 years ago actually 10 15 years
ago forget it you never knew what you were eating um but there there wasn't a lot of gmo stuff 15
years ago out but the point is is that you know papaya is a great one it's an easy one it's gonna
come mostly conventional it's not a lot of organic papayas out there and that's okay and we're going
to talk about conventional and and um conventional versus organic as well as we go along but papaya
that's a healing food you don't want to miss out on it you got to ripen it good enough sometimes
the papaya can have a green skin and still be ripe inside sometimes it needs to turn yellow
sometimes it needs to turn orange you got to kind of gauge it you got to learn uh cut it in half
scoop out the seeds you can eat a few of the seeds if you really want to they're spicy and
they're they're good for you but you you don't have to eat all the seeds it's pretty spicy stuff
but the flesh is usually red, you know, orangey too at the same time.
So red flesh, orangey flesh, that's a great food.
You can put it in the refrigerator when it's ripe, the whole papaya without opening it.
You don't even have to open it.
When it's getting ripe and you think it's ripe enough, you put it in the refrigerator
and it'll store there for a week or two.
And you can pull it out, cut it open.
You can scoop out the seeds and, you know, scoop out the flesh, chop it up, put it in
Smoothies, smoothies, papaya and banana smoothies are incredible.
They heal colitis.
They heal IBS.
They heal Crohn's.
Okay, that's how powerful papayas are.
They increase the power of the digestive tract.
They cleanse the liver.
They're that powerful.
They're good for the pancreas.
They're incredible for diabetes.
So this is a great food.
We'll go to another one.
Banana.
Banana, banana, banana.
One thing about bananas is that you don't want to obviously eat it green when the banana is unripe.
You don't want it where it's just bright yellow, where it hasn't turned into any spots on the skin yet.
You want the banana ripe, but you don't want the banana overripe.
That's very important to understand.
You don't want bananas overripe.
You want them ripe, but not overripe.
so what that means is you want you don't want that skin of that banana so brown that that
banana actually basically fermented or it's getting real soft that's not good and you don't
want it so hard or you don't want it so green or just so bright yellow where it makes your mouth
fuzzy because it's an unripe fruit you want it right in between some speckles on there a lot
of bananas are different sometimes they ripen a little earlier sometimes they ripen a little later
but you want you want your bananas that's a big deal put them in smoothies it's an important food
the banana has the power to kill retroviruses it's an antiviral food it's shunned right now
because of fads and trends going wrong but the banana is one of the most powerful healing foods
we have a lot of misconceptions have gone around and they catch on like fire i mean we know how it
works you know i look i i bite i bite on fads and trends because they're so interesting but then i
i realized you know through spirit and information that i know and information it's even out some
information that's even out there that it's not the way it really is but with with um with bananas
um they're very healing on the intestinal tract they soothe the lining of the gut soothe the
lining of the intestinal tract they're anti-inflammatory they get rid of bugs they get
rid of bacteria. A lot of people worried about parasites inside their intestinal tracts, gets
rid of parasites, gets rid of worms. Bananas are that good for you and they build muscle. They're
really a great food. Lots of amino acids. And once again, like I said, they're antiviral. You stick
banana in a petri dish with a killer virus and it will destroy the virus when nothing else can.
such as, you know, whatever viruses like retroviruses. So the bottom line is don't
be afraid of your bananas. Wild blueberries. Yep, that's right. In my life-changing foods book,
I talk about wild blueberries and I release information that's never been heard, never
been talked about, information about wild blueberries because they're thousands of years
old and they have they have an intellect the the breed itself the gene of the plant has survived
through hell and back and it provides this information and it gets into our body it's
adaptogenic so wild blueberries go to the frozen section i want to talk about that for a second
to frozen wild blueberries frozen wild blueberries they're better for you than the cultivated blueberry
If you're eating cultivated blueberry when you could get a wild blueberry, you're wasting your time.
It's a bold statement, I know. I know. It's a bold statement.
The cultivated blueberry doesn't have the antioxidant power.
It doesn't even have a fraction of the antioxidant power to the wild blueberry.
Now, here's what's even better.
When the wild blueberry freezes, it becomes more absorbable, more assimilatable as far as the nutrients and the antioxidants.
It's easy for the body to take them in even more.
In fact, it increases the power of the fruit because it's meant to be frozen in the tundras where it comes from originally on the planet.
It's meant to freeze and then feed animals.
And that's a big piece of it.
It's meant to freeze in the fields and feed animals.
bears and deer um that and even even fox coyotes and it's meant to feed animals and provide them
with more nutrition through the freezing process um if you freeze the cultivated blueberry it
weakens it doesn't even in cultivated blueberries already weak now if it's cultivated blueberries
all you got take them they're still healthy they're still healthy cultivated blueberries a
big fat blueberry in that those containers that are not in the freezer section but they're well
they got them in the freezer department now but they're they you know they're sitting there in
the berry section and they're in this little pint pint clamshell uh pint containers and if it's all
you got yeah get some blueberries in you but if you can get the frozen wild blueberries that's the
way to go put them in smoothies defrost them put them in the fridge defrost it throw them on your
oatmeal, whatever it is that you like, and throw them in your smoothies. Like I said,
so the frozen wild blueberries. There's a ton more information in the Life Changing Foods book,
the Medical Medium Life Changing Foods book, a ton more, but I'm going to give you what I can here.
Mangoes, there's different varieties of mangoes. Always know that. Never pick a mango when it's
ripe and soft in the market. Chances are it's bruised, it's probably sour, it's probably rancid
because it's just been squeezed too many times.
It's too soft.
Something to think about.
You want to get them kind of firm.
You bring them home.
They can ripen a little bit more.
That's the way to go.
You could also get frozen mango if you really want to.
T-Ackens, Tamiakens, that's a kind of,
T-Ackens is a kind of mango.
It's more fibrous.
Kent is another type of mango.
They really don't list those in the grocery store.
Sometimes, you know, you're just getting a mango
and you don't know it, but it's a Kent mango,
which is a different kind of flesh.
It's not so fibrous.
It's actually released.
It's kind of silky.
It's a great one.
Then there's Hayden mangoes.
Look for different mangoes,
but prepare to strike out sometimes.
You might get one that's just sour and acidic tasting.
And then when you get the right one one day,
it's like a dream come true.
And it makes up for that other bad mango you had,
you know, last year or that bad mango you had last month.
So you have to keep on fighting for it.
You got to fight for it with the mangoes.
Great food for you.
Great food for the health.
Helps insomnia.
You name it.
I love it.
Cucumbers.
Cucumbers.
You know, people like to make zucchini noodles.
Now, I know we're talking about cucumbers, but I just want to say something.
I like to make the zucchini noodles.
Have you ever made those?
You know, do the spiral technique or the tool and you make the noodles out of them.
uh it's in you know it's everywhere everybody's kind of doing it now and they have been um well
you can get cucumbers to do it with but you get the long skinny english english or seedless cucumber
it comes usually wrapped in in some plastic and it's the it's the skinny long english
seedless cucumbers they make the best longest noodles and because they're seedless the noodles
just all hold together. It's just a great tip. Don't be afraid of it. It's still a good cucumber.
They come organic. They're just amazing. So oranges, let's hit the orange, the citrus. A
lot of people have citrus fear, citrus fear. Hey, a lot of people have fruit fear. Did you read the
fruit fear chapter that I have in the medical medium book? Did you check that out, you guys?
yep and a lot of people have have fruit fear my favorite part of fruit fear is the fact that
people never even really ate fruit anyway so why are we blaming sickness on fruit when people don't
really eat fruit they have a few blueberries in their pancake maybe or or in their muffin or what
strawberry on top of a strawberry shortcake that's my favorite part of that at all if we start eating
more fruit will actually start feeling better. I know there's fruit phobias. I know there's fruit
fear. This is because of trends and fads. It's because of misinformation. Do not fall victim
to not getting fruit in your diet. I promise you, it's a grave mistake. That's what keeps us around
longest. That's the antioxidants that stops our brain from dying. That's the antioxidants that
stop us from dying, stop us from decaying. They come from fruit. So you have to get your wild
blueberries in there. You got to get a banana in there. You got to get, you know, some avocado in
there. You got to get some mango in there. Cucumbers. Well, oranges. Oranges stop osteoporosis.
Oranges are high in calcium. They're high in vitamin C. And they're really important. But
if you get a bad orange, just don't give up. Don't give up. You know, you might get an orange that
was so bitey because maybe it was an orange that came from Mexico where it was so, it was so,
you know, had like an acidic nature to it. Sometimes they do that. They have those growing
down there. California citrus is a little bitey too. You get Florida citrus is much better,
but you've got to keep on looking because there's, there's different types of citrus.
You've got clementines, you've got tangerines, you've got different varieties of oranges.
That just reminded me of the fruit fear chapter in the medical medium book when I said, you
know, people don't really eat that much fruit.
They have a clementine during the holiday season and that clementine isn't why they're
sick.
It's usually a whole bunch of other stuff called pizza.
called pizza, right? And so, yeah, so make sure you get your, your fruit in there. Okay. So there's
different tangerines. You try different ones. You try the, you know, clementines, the tangerines,
there's different kinds. There's Florida citrus, you know, try the California citrus,
but don't be afraid of it. Squeeze it on salads, you know, and, and use it, make fresh orange juice,
fresh squeezed orange juice. It is an elixir. It's a heavenly elixir. Don't be afraid. I'm
pro fruit because we're afraid of it and it's so good for you. I'm pro leafy greens though too
and I'm pro vegetables too. All right, watermelon. Watermelon. Look for the seeded watermelon. Always
look for a seeded one. If you have to get a seedless, you get a seedless. It's a hybrid but
it's not GMO. Get that straight. It's not GMO. Hybridization has been happening for hundreds
and hundreds and hundreds of years. That isn't GMO. We've been hybridizing food to actually
shape it, to provide us more things, like more of the right kind of calcium, more of the right
kind of nutrients, more of the right kind of vitamin C. Hybridized food comes with all these
great things. You want heirloom food. I realize that. Heirloom apples and things like that,
an heirloom citrus.
That means they weren't hybridized recently,
but they were hybridized probably
over the last 100, 200 years.
It's been happening for centuries and centuries.
Kings on this planet had their orchards,
you know, constantly be, you know,
grafting and, you know,
and planting different seeds and grafting off them
and also, you know, getting the fruit
the way it needs to be.
And that's the way life's been here on planet Earth.
And the kings lived longer.
royalty lived longer. Bottom line, the barons, the dukes, the earls, the counts, the kings
lived longer because they had grapes brought to them from all over the world. They had figs brought
to them from all over the world. I talk about this in the Fruit Fear chapter. So watermelon,
get the seedless if you can't find seeded, but the seeded is the best one. The best tip I can
give you for that is you want to crunch the seeds. You want to eat the seeds. They're medicinal.
They're high in zinc, high in zinc.
And it's hard to find zinc, you know, rich foods.
It's hard.
Tomatoes, tomatoes.
You say tomato, I say tomato.
Let's call the whole thing off, right?
So look for the heirloom tomatoes.
Those are important, heirloom tomatoes.
They taste better.
They do taste better.
Of course, you can get the like the hothouse tomatoes.
Those are great, great as well.
but the heirloom tomatoes, they're wonderful. They have a flavor. They're not really acidic.
Don't miss out on those. There's different colors. You see them yellow. You see them pink. You see
them red. You see them striped. Black crimson. There's all kinds of different kinds of heirloom
tomatoes. Don't be afraid of them. And cherry tomatoes. Don't be afraid of cherry tomatoes,
you guys. That's something to really remember. Cherry tomatoes. And there's a lot of great ones.
and there's sun golds and there's cherry 100 sweet 100s and there's all kinds of different
ones go to farmer's market during the farmer's markets during the season pick up some different
cherry tomatoes come on and heirloom tomatoes let's pick them up let's get them and uh and we
may as well pick a seeded watermelon while we're at it that's great kale let's hit the kale um
there's different varieties of kale remember that it's not just that one green leaf kale that
you see with the kale chips.
It's not just the kale chip thing, all right?
Where it's this kale chip
and it's flooded with nutritional yeast
and everything else under the sun.
It's not just that get the dinosaur kale,
get the red kale, get the different kales.
They're all amazing.
This is just great food for you.
And it is good for the thyroid,
not bad for the thyroid.
It is good for the thyroid.
I talk about it in my thyroid show.
I talk about it in the fads and trends shows.
I talk about it in different places.
It is.
So don't be afraid there.
Spinach.
Yep.
Rock and roll with the spinach.
That's a big one.
Don't be afraid.
Here's the thing with spinach is when you go into the store, you'll see there's different
kinds sometimes.
There's baby spinach in some containers.
You can get those.
They're pre-washed.
But there's also things like Savoy spinach in the green section, which is an incredible spinach to eat as well.
Incredible for salads.
You can do a lot with spinach.
You can put it in smoothies.
Great food for you.
Don't be afraid of different spinach.
Butterleaf lettuce.
So lettuces in general, okay?
But butterleaf lettuce, that's the one to look for.
If I can give you a tip, it's butterleaf lettuce.
So write that down.
Are you writing that down?
I don't want you forgetting. Butterleaf lettuce. When you go in to the store and you look for
butterleaf lettuce and you're holding it, you know you got it. You know it's it. You can feel it. You
can feel its vibration. It's the butterleaf lettuce. What's amazing about the butterleaf
lettuce, not just because you can take the leaves and roll up avocado in them and things like that,
what's amazing, which is cool, what's amazing about the butterleaf lettuce,
it's it's high in omegas it's got omega-3s sixes and nines it's actually got omega fatty acids in
it it's a very interesting interesting creature you know don't ignore butter leaf lettuce very
healing okay let's hit onions onions onions onions any onion is good for you without a doubt
we know the health benefits um i really go into depth on the health benefits and life-changing
foods just i really go into that um and like i said earlier before if you've got time and some
energy just make sure you you order that book um and get that under your belt so it's it's actually
waiting for you so when when it's not out of stock because i i'm positive it's gonna be out of stock
um so so onions it got all kinds of onion talk in there information that no one's ever heard
what it really does, what diseases, what illnesses it helps conquer.
What I like about onions is if you don't like the brashness
or the boldness taste of an onion, pick the Vidalia.
That's information that's out there.
The Vidalia onion, you can get that information.
That's out there.
You can get them.
You can look for them.
They're sweeter, easier to eat.
And everybody's been saying for the last 20 years,
you can eat them like an apple.
Bite into them and eat them like an apple.
You know, almost, almost, almost.
You know, they still got an edge.
All right, so onions are really good.
Get chives.
Pick up chives.
Put them on salads.
Put them on different foods.
You can chop them up.
Chives are really medicinal.
Don't miss out on them.
So let's hit some melons, okay?
Melons, they're important.
Don't miss out on them.
People are afraid of melons.
They're afraid because they're just weird.
meaning in the sense that they're different colors.
You've got orange melons, you've got yellow melons,
you've got cantaloupes, you've got honeydew melons,
different kinds, but pick them out.
You know when they're ripe, when they start smelling,
like the ends of the melon start where the stem was plucked.
You can start smelling that sweetness.
They give a little bit.
Not every melon does that when it's coming around,
but most of them do.
look for canary melons this summer they are they are like unbelievable not only are they good for
you unbelievably you know healing but amazing tasting santa claus great melon i love the santa
claus melon i think it's the best name too it's like santa claus so i'm eating one of those it's
like santa claus i'm singing the songs you know from from christmas um so you want the different
melons. Don't be afraid of them. That's one thing to be, you know, to be on it. Yes, have melon on
an empty stomach in the morning. Don't put, don't eat melon after you had a steak dinner. If you had
a grass-fed beef steak dinner, which, you know, of course, I mean, that's the best beef there is,
if that's what you're into. If you just don't do melon after it, because the melon's going to sit
there wanting to push down that beef and get it down. If you had some heavy, if you had some
quinoa don't eat melon after quinoa if you had oatmeal don't have melon after oatmeal it's going
to want to push that oatmeal down if you had hummus don't have melon after hummus if you had fish
salmon some wild salmon don't have melon after wild salmon it's going to push it on down it's
going to try to push it down it's going to get angry because melon is is pre-digestible meaning
it doesn't digest it it's already digested entering your mouth it's already digested
entering your mouth it doesn't need any digestion um so it rushes to get to the finish line so if
you just had some wild salmon or if you just had some turkey or you had a turkey sandwich you don't
put melon after it you eat melon in the morning on an empty stomach or you eat it after you had
a green juice or celery juice or a smoothie, you know, like a smoothie that had fruit in it.
You know, you can do things like that, but don't, you know, don't have melon, like I said,
after you just had a big turkey Thanksgiving dinner or something like that. Winter squash,
winter squash, don't miss out on the winter squashes. I'm sorry if you have, I feel bad if
you've missed out on the winter squashes. Okay. Because it, you know, winter squashes are fantastic.
acorn squash, kabocha squash, red curry, delicata, sweet dumpling, butternut, buttercup.
These are amazing foods. I mean, not just good for you, but I mean, they're amazing in general.
Everything about them are. They're very healing. They heal the intestinal tract. They provide
glucose rich in nutrients to fix the brain, to fix the body. And by the way, just so you know,
the brain and the nervous system runs on sugar. Never forget it. It's how it works. I can't change
what our bodies do. It runs on glucose. That's what it runs on. Without sugar, we die. Okay?
Without sugar, we die. Okay? And that is something to understand that's important.
So we have to get our high quality sugar, our high quality fructose, our high quality glucose from
the proper sources like winter squash butternut squash acorn squash we have to get them for
proper sources you know um it's important sweet potato it's another place to get you know these
high quality things regular potato i want to talk about regular potato for a second
regular potato is said to be a white food it's not a white food at all potato is not a white food
A white food is depicted on the color of the outside of the food technically.
For instance, if you have a red skin potato, it's a red food.
If you actually have a purple skin potato, it's a purple food.
If you have a golden skin potato, it's a golden food.
If you have a brown potato, it's a brown food.
if you have, you know, this is how it works.
This is the only way it works, actually.
So you might be saying, yeah, but the inside is white.
Okay, well, what about a cultivated blueberry?
The inside of a cultivated blueberry is white, 100% white.
Did you know that?
Right?
I'm just a pain in the butt today, huh?
I'm just a real pain in the butt.
But seriously, you cut open, you cut open a cultivated blueberry,
and you're going to see a white food.
It's blue on the outside.
Potatoes, you know, potatoes, purple on the outside.
Potato is actually gold on the outside.
A potato is red-skinned on the outside.
A blueberry, okay, a blueberry, cultivated blueberry,
is white on the inside when you cut it open.
An apple could be red-skinned but white on the inside.
Do we call that apple a white food?
Hmm.
See how trends and fads go kind of messy and they get all messed up and they all go wrong?
Processed food is different when you take wheat, when you take wheat white flour and you process it and you turn it into white flour.
That's a white food.
So let's make sure we get that straight.
That's important.
That's a white food.
That's not a whole food.
so um so remember the potato is okay when you're looking for potatoes we'll jump to potatoes now
when you're looking for potatoes make sure they're hard make sure they're not green you know
a green end on them make sure they're not budding out you don't want to budding out like a like
elementary school project where you stick toothpicks in it and you you dangle it over water
and you just start letting it grow roots,
don't let it get to that degree.
Wow, we're running fast for this time.
We got to stay on it.
So the potatoes have to be hard.
They have to be firm.
That's the way you want them, okay?
That's very important.
Good, you know, steamed potatoes.
That's a really good tip as well, steaming potatoes.
Peppers, don't buy the green peppers.
They're just not ripe.
They're just not ripe.
you want the red peppers yellow peppers orange peppers those are the way to go you don't want
them crinkly and dried up when you go in the grocery store you want them you know you know
firm i mean not firm you want them just you know not having all those wrinkles everywhere so make
sure when you're picking some that they're not dehydrated a lot of times they get dehydrated
sitting there in the grocery stores so we get some peppers those that's a great that's a great
food parsley there's curly parsley there's flat leaf parsley um flat leaf parsley is more medicinal
it's the it's the italian parsley pick up that one instead it's more medicinal if you like curly
and that's what you love it's still healing believe me so you can get it but um we want
the flat leaf something to think about celery you want the thicker stalks you want the celery
that's got thicker stalks.
That's what you want.
You want celery with thicker stalks.
Remember that.
Not the skinny stalks,
but if you have no choice
and you get the ones with the skinny stalks,
just remember it's going to be more medicinal.
It's going to be more medicine-y
in the sense where it's going to be kind of bitter,
astringent, maybe hard to get down.
So you maybe can only juice like two, three, four ounces of it,
six ounces.
You want the thicker stalks.
They're juicier.
they provide a lot more mineral salts but either way you get which one you need to
if you can't find organic celery get the conventional celery it outweighs
the residue of pesticide give them a good wash but it outweighs it they're that good for you
so radish radish radish hey another white food everybody how about that cut open a rat you got
a red radish you cut it open and you got a white inside should we call it a white food
you know we got a purple radish we cut it open it's white inside should we call it a white food
no we shouldn't it's not a white food darn it so um you know let's correct some of these fads and
trends and when you see how logic how it just it's instantly there you'll realize how many more
mistakes are out there it's unbelievable that's what the show's for the show is to clear those up
it may take 10 lifetimes doing it i don't know if i'm gonna be here that long no no we'll get it
done we'll get it done okay so radishes very important here's what i want to tell you for a
tip for radishes radish greens radish greens get the radishes with the fresh greens attached to
them in the bunch those are medicinal put those in salads chop those up put those in salads those
are really healing that's a great tip right there dates just don't buy conventional dates they have
to be organic something i had to say they have to be organic if they're not organic they'll be
they'll be laced with sulfur um some kind of sulfite so you want organic dates figs there's
different kind of figs try them all there's brown turkey codota there's um comerta there's
Calmerta, there's Black Mission, there's different kinds of figs. So we want figs. So look for those
this summer. Dried figs too. Dried figs actually are pretty good. So if you want to bring in some
dried figs, don't be afraid. That's the tip. I want to give you that freedom to get a dried fig.
I had somebody tell me, well, you know, I had somebody tell me they wouldn't want to do the
dried figs because there's too much sugar. So I said, well, what's happening then? What are you
doing since you can't get like some natural fruit sugars in sort well well they end up eating candy
bars or they end up eating you know you know some kind of uh over-the-counter candy you know like
conventional candy bar and they or they end up eating something even worse than that um they
end up putting a little sugar in their coffee every day and like okay wait you won't eat a fig
but you make sure there's sugar in your coffee every day come on we have to we have to you know
kind of break this up. We have to work this out. Okay, grapes. Get the dark grapes. Get the grapes
with seeds. If you can't get them, fine. But get the darker grapes. The red grapes, the darker
grapes, the black grapes, those are healing. They're miracle, miraculously healing. I tell
the truth about what the grape does in the Life Changing Foods book. Do not miss out on that book.
I killed myself making sure that that information was in there. It was a brutal, brutal,
brutal process getting every bit of information i could squeeze out of spirit it was daunting
it was tiring and you gotta get that because the information about grapes that i put in there
i can't explain over this radio show but make sure you get the dark grapes make sure you do that
very important okay if you end up with the green grapes and that's all you got is the green grapes
i'll take it sold i'll take it because they're medicinal too surprise surprise they're medicinal
Zucchini, yellow squash.
Go to the farmer's market.
Get the small ones.
Small ones, unless you're making zucchini noodles
and you want the big zucchinis,
but you get the small ones.
They're sweeter.
They're tastier.
They're even more nutritious.
You could steam them up.
They're amazing.
Chop them up, throw them in a stir fry.
Doesn't a stir fry sound good?
So if you're plant-based,
you can do a stir fry with a little coconut oil in there, right?
Maybe a little tahini in your stir fry.
have chop you know put put the um put the put the mini little zucchinis or chop them up zucchinis
and squash in there sounds good right little tahini maybe throw some chickpeas in there
and some onions a little garlic if you're not plant-based and you're paleo or something and
you still want to do that then throw your free range you know pasture range you know chicken
in that stir fry whatever you know whatever you got going whatever let's put it in there
And but either way, do these little zucchinis, whatever side of the coin you're on.
OK, whatever side.
Sly and the Family Stone.
I remember that song, you know, and, you know, everyday people.
It's like, yeah, we just have to all get along.
You know, everybody's got a different bag.
OK, and that's what the song's kind of about from whatever I could remember.
And so it's whatever's in your bag.
That means, you know, your stir fry might be different.
It might have different things in it.
you might want to do different things than you do it.
So sprouts, you can go get lentils in the health food store
or in the grocery store.
Lentils, try to get organic lentils,
try to get them in maybe the health food stores.
And lentils, you could sprout overnight.
You literally can take a bowl,
put a cup of lentils in the bowl,
fill it over the lentils with water,
let them soak overnight underwater.
Next morning, drain them, give them a rinse,
put a little saran wrap over the bowl
give it some air
like there's a little animal in there
you poke holes
so the air has to go through
and you leave it on the counter
rinse it a couple times
repeat it
but don't fill it up with water
over its head anymore
just rinse them out
and then repeat it
and leave them in there moist
you don't want to do that initially
you don't want to keep on soaking them
over their heads
that was just for the first night
you'll start seeing little tails
come out of them
and you got spread at lentils
an amazing food
you can't go wrong with that amazing food i'm serious um put them on salads the whole bit
sprouts are incredible aloe leaves at the grocery store get the biggest one here's a tip get the
biggest one you can find the smaller the aloe leaf the more bitter it is when you make your
aloe water your fresh aloe water where i have the blog recipe go to my blog find that recipe
it's amazing the whole bit um i also talk about what aloe vera really does for you
in the Life Changing Foods book.
What it really does for you.
Information from Spirit that's mind-blowing.
Blows me away. It still blows me away.
So we got the apples.
Try different apples. Get adventurous.
Try the Red Delicious.
The Red Delicious is the one we always eat.
By the way, the Red Delicious is highly nutritious.
We can't chop it up.
Meaning we can't put it down.
It's that delicious.
so red delicious honey crisp apples braeburn fuji gala and then heirloom apples you'll find
in different places too at farmer's markets make sure you grab them and try them some taste like
you know apple pie pears that's another good one to get the different pears if you had a bad
experience with a pear because you don't like it pick a different pear there's different kinds
they're not all the same get the i like the bosch pear the bosch um pineapple make sure you ripen it
on its side. Don't have it standing up all the time where the butt of the pineapple gets ripe,
but the top doesn't. You want it on its side, like just laying on its side and move it around a little
bit. You know, every day you move it around a little bit, you roll it a little bit to a different
part of its side, get it ripe everywhere. Do not eat that pineapple green. That baby's got to start
turning yellow and it's got to smell good and the leaves got to kind of pluck out of the top very
easily with your fingers. So that's what you do with pineapple. Pineapple is funny. I mean,
just, you know, if you eat a whole pineapple, one or two of them all in one shot, you might start
getting like chapped lips and chapped tongue. And so just don't go on a pineapple mania craze,
but it's an incredible food for you. And so, hey, look, there's a lot of things to cover. I think
we covered a lot of them. I want to go into cauliflower before we go. You can make cauliflower
rice. Throw raw cauliflower in a food processor, grind it up, and make rice out of it. Roll it up
in norries. You can also stir fry that rice. You can also stir fry it as well. You can get it
already at Trader Joe's and other health food stores all around. You can get that cauliflower
our rice ground up already. How cool is that? Don't forget it. Brussels sprouts. You can get
frozen Brussels sprouts, frozen ones, and steam them. That is amazing. Don't forget that. Go to
the farmer's market, get green beans, get green and yellow, heirloom green beans. Look for them
at the farmer's market. It's another tip. Look for the heirloom ones. Man, it goes on and on and on.
we can't stop um tropical fruits don't be afraid of them sapote egg fruit egg fruit is tricky don't
